Twice a year, MIT hosts its own solar phenomena: known as MITHenge, it is when the sunset perfectly aligns with the Infinite Corridor, illuminating the entire length of the 200-meter long hallway. Last year, EAPS Professor Richard Binzel was featured in a video to highlight what he refers to as “a major cultural moment on campus … when the heavens and MIT seem to align”.
The 2024 dates for MITHenge are November 9th and 10th starting at 4:15 pm. This year, MIT’s MindHandHeart will be hosting a reception following the event. Go to their website to learn more about this year’s programming.
